About Me
Hello! I’m Alyssa. I absolutely love capturing precious moments from the very beginning. I believe in the beauty in simplicity… in capturing memories centered around people, and in showing people’s true personalities. This is why I do not use a lot of props or colors that will take away from the subject. I have a unique desire to capture the beauty of simplicity, and over the years I have perfected my minimalistic, timeless style. I have built a studio at my home, for indoor shoots and I also have beautiful land that can be used for outdoor portraits in any season. I have carefully curated a client closet, to help create the perfect aesthetic.
I will create timeless portraits for you to display in your home, and to keep those beautiful moments alive. To me, photo sessions are more than just the photos; our photoshoots are a true experience. Making and cherishing memories is what I am passionate about, and our photoshoots are designed for you and your family to relax, enjoy and look back on over the years!

My studio is warm and inviting. My bright and airy environment creates a calming atmosphere for parents, babies and children.

Types of Sessions
-Typically done between 30-37 weeks
-Can be done with husband and children if you choose
-Typically done between 7-14 days
-Can be done with parents and siblings if you choose

-Can be done in alignment with motherhood or family photos

Baby & Toddler Session Info
I often get asked when it’s a good time to plan for baby’s photoshoots. Here are some of the typical times. Of course, I’m happy to photograph and capture your precious memories at any time!
tummy time session
Tummy Time Session / The first milestone your baby develops that I want to capture is holding their head up with ease while on tummy. This usually happens around 3 months but babies grow at different speeds , so it may be sooner or later too . Around this time babies start to respond to smiles as well and discover their bodies , especially those chubby little feet, grabbing them and putting in their mouth. Those are some of the cutest images!
the sitter session
The Sitter Session takes place between 6-9 months , and it’s about capturing your baby being able to sit un-aided . Sitting independently is such a huge achievement for your baby so I recommend scheduling sitter session as soon as your baby begins sitting up , and just before they start to crawl or walk.
birthday session
Birthday Session / Yay! Your baby is ONE! The first birthday is one of the biggest milestones and it’s that celebratory time that you don’t want to miss. I have beautiful decorations such as wooden ‘ONE’ sign, a fun wooden cake toy, and an adorable birthday hat.
TODDLER SESSION
Toddler Session / After the one year session, the two most common times for sessions are at 18 & 24 months. At this point, they have so much personality and are on the move! It is so fun capturing who they are playing, cuddling and just smiling.
session tips
I know your portraits are so important to you and it’s easy to let your anxiety take over.
Here are my top tips for a successful session.
MATERNITY
-Wear nude/white undergarments
-Feel confident! You’re growing a person and that’s
BEAUTIFUL!
-Treat yourself! You’ll see some recommendations for hair/makeup if you choose.
-Make sure your fingernails are clean looking
NEWBORN
-Best done between 7-14 days when baby is nice snd sleepy
-Be prepared for your session to take about 2+ hours
-If you’re bringing siblings, keep the length of the session in mind and have someone drive them separately
-Try to keep baby awake as much as possible before hand
-Have a pacifier for baby if possible
BABIES/TODDLERS
-Common milestones are: 6 months, 12 months & 18 months
-Bring a couple snacks for during the photoshoot and for the viewing afterwards
-Relax. They can sense if you’re stressed out
-Give them a minute to warm up and don’t worry if they’re not acting perfect!
WHAT TO WEAR
I have a carefully curated a client closet that you’re welcome to access at any session! I have women’s dresses fitting all body types from XS-3XL in my client closet.
I also have kids sizes newborn through 18 months and some girls’ dresses above that. If you’re looking for something specific, let me know your size and I’ll show you what I have!
Simple clothing is best for family sessions. Mid-tones look best; cream, soft pink, tan or white.

Your session fee of $250 is due at the time of booking and includes:
-welcome guide

MEMBERSHIP
Members prepay a $500 membership fee in advance. This fee is used to secure up to four sessions within an 18 month time period. No additional session fees are due. Members receive an additional 5% off of all purchases over $1000.

Hey! I’m Amanda. My love for makeup artistry began as a young actor working in the MN theater scene. I loved the way makeup and hair could completely transform not only my outward appearance, but lift my mood as well. After high school I attended and graduated from the Aveda institute in Mpls MN. From there I began my career as a makeup artist and educator. I’ve worked for Armani cosmetics, Benefit, Este Lauder, Bare Minerals and as an Educator for Sephora. I’ve also worked as a freelance artist for theater productions, local photo shoots and weddings. My goal as an artist is to help build confidence in my clients. My goal isn’t to change, but enhance your natural beauty.
