Letter to My Son

My Dearest Elias Richard,

As I sit down to write this letter to you, you are only two years old, but I already know that you will grow up to be an amazing man. I want you to know how much I love you and how proud I am to be your mom.

At two years old, you are just starting to explore the world around you. Everything is new and exciting, and you approach everything with wonder and curiosity. You have a constant smile and are so silly. You love adventure and work hard to keep up with your sisters. You love rock climbing, biking and 4-wheeling already. You also love our goats! I hope that as you grow older, you will always keep that sense of curiosity and never stop exploring and learning.

I want you to know…

that you have brought so much joy and happiness into my life. Watching you grow and learn has been one of the greatest joys of my life. You have taught me so much about love, patience, and resilience, and I am grateful for every moment that we have spent together.

As you grow older…

you will face many challenges and obstacles. There will be times when you feel frustrated, discouraged, and overwhelmed. But I want you to know that I will always be there for you. I will be your biggest cheerleader, your confidante, and your safe haven. You can always count on me to be there for you, no matter what.

Most of all…

I hope that you will always remember that you are loved. You are loved by your family, and by God. I pray that you grow up to be a God-fearing man with courage and strength. You are loved for who you are, not for what you do or accomplish. You are loved unconditionally, and nothing can ever change that.

As I close this letter, I want you to know how much you mean to me. You have filled my life with so much love and joy, and I am grateful for every moment that we have spent together. I look forward to watching you grow and learn and become the amazing person that I know you will be.

Love always,

Mama
